Three lovely days flew by too fast. A bit colder today, but with some shelter and sun on the deck, the door stayed open and a tiny bit of gardening happened. No photos though.
Started some backup nasturtiums indoors – six seeds each of Tip Top, Tom Thumb, and Jewel Mix, sitting on the bedroom windowsill. It’s getting crowded in there! Lucky the cold nights are fading, soon everything can go outside… sharpened the blade and honed the hedge shears. Best to get it done early.
And of course, couldn’t miss the Tour of Flanders – even if Eurosport seemed to… so I fixed the handlebars, pumped my fancy bike up to 8 bar, and took it out for a test spin before dusk. First ride in shorts of the season – not something I do every year. The skin definitely felt the chill in the shade, but hey, it was a nice little shout out to spring! 😉
Turns out there was more power in the legs than I thought. The hills will still be a challenge though… especially carrying this current extra weight.
