…lovely evening.
After all yesterday’s bike races were packed away and the delicious fika was finished, it was still so windy… But a little later, the wind calmed, and it turned into one of those lovely evenings. Little by little, everything is taking shape on the deck. Today, I repotted a batch of wild strawberries into a big pot… I think the remaining three plants will go among the strawberries…
I also took the opportunity to sow mixed lettuce varieties in a pot. I really need to start sowing smaller quantities, multiple varieties, and more often!

Most importantly… Today, all the tomatoes, squash, and melons went into the ground. Second time’s the charm, I feel. I also tucked in a couple of melon seeds and some Yin&Yang beans, just in case. Moved around some nasturtium, some of the marigold plants, and sowed a few new radishes (Diana). And… half of the sweet peas are now by the apple tree. We’ll see how they do; the rest might end up in pots or join them there.

The only other thing left to do was enjoy… and keep an eye on what’s about to bloom… And what’s already blooming. Heliotrope, squash, fantastic – but not the typical columbine. I think it’s a William Guinness, but I’m not sure. I’ll check…
(Edit: The variety is called Nora Barlow.)
