…and Sunday…

…and Sunday…

Cold!! But on and off sunshine, and with some activity, a t-shirt was enough. I wonder… how much time can you really spend in such a small garden? Loads, apparently… Though it includes a fair amount of wandering around and just being too. And fiddly little things, like pulling up the third wilted Little Gem plant and finding a tiny yellow monster. Absolutely not okay to eat my lettuce from the inside out!

It was finally time to sow the beans. Four varieties, three of each in two raised beds (the lower ones), plus a backup sowing in pots on the deck. Lesson learned 🙂

Also took the opportunity to sow more head lettuce, for transplanting later. It’ll definitely get used over the summer – by me and the hungry yellow monsters…

Thinking now it’d be smarter to not sow whole trays of just one kind of lettuce, but to mix several varieties together instead – less waste, more variety… After all, it’s just me. Just need to remember this next time I sow… 🙂

The insect hotel got an upgrade – Hotel 2.0. Might grab a few extra pots and twigs to add in too…
And finally sowed grass along the perennial bed. Curious to see how that turns out. It can’t take too long though… I’ve got to trim the hedge along there within a month…

And then… just enjoy the moment with the camera. Peony, strawberry, blueberry, cowslip…
