For me, though, mostly sunshine. A brief moment in a roundabout right the start of the race and day, and then a very long time as a flagger in another roundabout close to the goal. Was not how I planned my day – Les Mills quarterly trainings were. Oh well – out in the sun instead of hitting the gym was nice too.
Down! Right! Over the bridge! until my voice was nearly gone…
Most of the cyclists finished their 40, 120 or 170 kilometers being happy and content but tired from the headwind on the way home. And a few who rolled by had probably ridden much longer… …or at least, they were waving Swiss flags and didn’t have race bibs.
