Saturday meant SPRINT 16 quarterly. Finally some shorter standing power intervals. I got through all of them – luckily I’m the only one who knows that the numbers on the display are barely a quarter of what they used to be. Ida pushed me to keep going, reminded me that I’m actually one of the most experienced Sprint coaches out there – that I have it in me. And I do – I am one of “the few” Sprint coaches who did releases 1 and 2, with standing cadences over 120… Those monster intervals don’t even exist anymore. I miss being good.
Crashed for two hours after just 30 minutes of training. Fell asleep again during Giro d’Italia’s eighth stage finish. Missed the seventh stage finish one too. When will this constant fatiguing stop?
A little Saturday evening rain made me rethink things and move the planting table under the balcony. Much better!

Summer returned this weekend. With heat, rain, thunder, and sunshine taking turns. And a lawn that’s growing like crazy. Lovely, considering the shaky start to the season. I’d happily mow the lawn five days a week now!

But mostly, it was a tired weekend… I wanted to do more than I had energy for. But I did manage to wash down the furniture and windows… so much pollen everywhere. Everything was yellow.
