Two weeks ago, it felt like spring – now it is spring. I’ve decided.
First order of business: roll the motorcycle out of the living room where it’s been hibernating all winter – yes, you read that right, that’s where it lives.
Then a proper clean-up indoors to make space for new seedlings. The neighbor’s cat supervised to make sure I did it right.
That all happened Friday, so Saturday morning could be devoted to the first ride of the season, in the company of a colleague.
Cold, but sunny – at least until the last few kilometers, when the rain started pouring down…

The rest of the day was spent sowing and doing some watercolor painting (maybe I’ll finally post a few of those — after all these years…).
This year’s indoor sowing includes five types of tomatoes, five kinds of chili, and Malabar spinach. Fingers crossed they sprout quickly, considering how late I’m starting. Also started chitting (sprouting) some almond potatoes.
No new Jolokias in the seed trays this year – they actually survived the winter in the living room!

Wrapping up with some lovely new leaves on my jackfruit – and more leaves on the way out. The light is doing its thing, for both plants and people!
