Planting on Easter Sunday

Planting on Easter Sunday

Still so much pollen, but a little less tired… I couldn’t resist. I moved out my plants! (Only the ones I’ve got backups for…)

In raised bed 1:
Tomatoes – Artisan Golden Bumble Bee, Principe Borghese, Brandywine. At their feet: NZ spinach and a bit of nasturtium (Jewel Mix).

In raised bed 2:
Squash F1 Round Beauty and nasturtium Tom Thumb. Still holding off on the melon for the upper part – want to see how it handles the chilly nights first.
Then I fenced in the new plantings with compost mesh so the cats won’t go potty on my plant babies…

A bit of deck-tinkering too. The latest daffodils were moved out to a corner by the hedge. The Dr. Westerlund pelargonium cuttings got promoted to the table. And the hanging lobelia found the right wall.
The Tiny Tim and Indigo Blue Berries tomatoes got their own big pots…
And of course, a full-on rearranging session.

In the middle of it all – Amstel Gold Race, naturally! What a finish!!!

Man ska inte glömma att bara vandra runt också… och jag konstaterar att jag inte bara behöver fler kungsängsliljor, jag behöver fler klosterliljor också…

Det är svårt att avsluta dagen och gå in…

P.S. Next weekend: rhubarb pie.
