Midsummer’s Eve

Midsummer’s Eve

And sleep, that sometime shuts up sorrow’s eye, steal me awhile from mine own company.

William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

When grown up, Midsummer is a typical family celebration… so my Midsummer was spent in my garden.

A quick mow of the lawn… a trip to Willys for a few groceries… (never again!!). Then, I unpacked the contents of the package from yesterday. Encouraged by my curious neighbor, I tested out this little beauty. This year, there are vacation plans!

This year’s Midsummer harvest reveals that the weather hasn’t been quite like last year’s… but there was still some good stuff. New potatoes and strawberries from my garden – Midsummer in a nutshell.
